I got about five days in, and then my day job as food photographer and business partner for Mel Joulwan came crashing in, and that was all she wrote.
On the up side, the new book is doing well, and we’re both grateful for that.
Here are a couple of things I got done that I like — and I’ll catch you next year, Inktober.
I had a dream about a witch that was only a head. Mel and I had been hunting for her, and we finally tracked her down.
I wrote a comic about it. You can read it right here…
Chipmunks are surprisingly capable. They build vast, underground homes with separate rooms for specific functions. And that’s only the beginning of how awesome they are.
This is a comic I did for my friend Angela’s animal anthology — Awesome Possum 2.
Did you know that our moon is the result of an ENORMOUS, PLANET-ROCKING IMPACT between Earth and a planet called Theia that existed a long, long time ago?
I didn’t, until I wrote a comic about how the moon came to be.
One of the things I enjoyed most about this project was taking this low-rez computer projection of what it must have looked like when the moon was formed and turning it into comics pages. KER-SLAM!
